Is there anywhere that Google Street View hasn't gone? It's visited monuments in Egypt, gone zip-lining through the Amazon rainforest, wandered under the aurora, and rafted down the Colorado.
Now, in honor of World Oceans Day on June 8, Google Maps teamed up with XL Catlin Seaview Survey, NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, and the Chagos Conservation Trust to put together an assortment of underwater (or near-the-water) views for people to explore--no SCUBA gear needed. Google did a similar project a few years ago, when it put together viewd of spectacular reefs around the world..
